Home: Tahiti, French Polynesia
Coach: Samuel Garcia
The small island of Tahiti is no stranger to producing outstanding talent, with clubs such as AS Pirae performing well in recent years at the OFC Men’s Champions League.
Tahiti United have been established as the professional arm of 11-time domestic league winners, AS Vénus – an initiative that they hope will help the team hit the ground running when the OFC Pro League kicks off in January.
Not only have Tahitian club teams performed admirably in recent years, but the national team have been no strangers to the latter stages of OFC competitions, including their historic OFC Men’s Nations Cup victory in 2012, as well as an impressive third place finish in 2024.
Tahiti United FC will certainly not be short of experience, with national team head coach Samuel Garcia taking the reins for the new club, as well as a wealth of talented players that will surely be interested in becoming part of the Polynesian island’s first-ever professional football team.
