Last season's OFC Pro League top goalscorer Alex Saniel has joined Australian side Caroline Springs George Cross FC on loan.

The Vanuatu United forward, who topped the scoring charts with 11 strikes in 2026, will return in 2027, as his side look to build upon their semi-final appearance earlier this year.

Saniel was in fine form in the inaugural OFC Pro League season. His 11 goals included the historic league opener against Bula FC at Eden Park back in January, as well as scoring four in Vanuatu United's Challengers Group campaign, ensuring their spot in the final four.

Caroline Springs George Cross FC will be hoping Saniel can give their season a boost. The National Premier Leagues Victoria side are currently in 7th place, just 3 points adrift of Finals qualification.

The dynamic forward will return in time for what promises to be an even bigger and better season in 2027.
