South Melbourne FC have announced the signing of South Island United's David Yoo, as the OFC Pro League runners-up look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
The Korean-born midfielder was one of South Island United's standout performers last season, registering four goals and five assists as Rob Sherman's side reached the semi-finals.
“We know David’s qualities well, having seen them first hand this season,” Senior Football Director Peter Kokotis said. “He’s a quick, exciting attacking player who can create and score from anywhere on the pitch. We’re delighted to bring him to South Melbourne and believe he’ll be a valuable addition for the challenges ahead.”
The Australian side will be hoping Yoo's arrival can help them go one better in 2027 and claim a first OFC Pro League title.
