PNG Hekari FC have confirmed the resignation of head coach Marcos Gusmão due to personal and family reasons.

Gusmão, who has twice coached the Papua New Guinea men's national team, was in charge for the club's first three matches of the season, with their 2-0 defeat to Auckland FC on January 31 being his final one.

The club have confirmed that assistant coach Jerry Allen will assume head coach duties for the remainder of the season.
