We're back with the latest updates from the OFC Pro League offseason, including South Melbourne FC's cup run continuing, Auckland FC facing stiff international competition and PNG Hekari FC confirming their new Head Coach.
South Melbourne keep run dream alive
Last season's runners-up, South Melbourne FC are into the semi-finals of the Australia Cup, following their 2-1 victory over Preston Lions.

South Melbourne will now face Lions FC in the final four on September 15th, with just 90 minutes separating them and an Australia Cup final date.
Auckland FC fall short in Jeddah
OFC Pro League champions Auckland FC suffered a narrow defeat in their first round match in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup™ against Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli in Jeddah.
It was an impressive effort from the New Zealand side, conceding the only goal of the game just after the hour mark thanks to Abu Al-Shamat.
Pro League Golden Ball winner Daniel Normann started the match, with fellow title winners Van Fitzharris and Ronan Wynne making appearances from the bench.
Pro League stars head to Apia
The OFC U-19 Men's Championship 2026 kicked off in Apia, Samoa this week, with a number of Pro League representatives on show.
Defending champions New Zealand boast the most, with five players in their squad who appeared for Auckland FC in the 2026 season.
Luka Vicelich, Bailey Ferguson, Van Fitzharris, Eli Jones and Dejaun Naidoo have all been selected and will be looking to retain the trophy and qualify their country the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup™.

There was plenty to keep an eye on with those plying their trade away from their Pro League teams this offseason.
Vanuatu United's Otto Ingham scored in Auckland United's 4-0 victory over East Coast Bays. The victory secures their place in this year's New Zealand National League Championship
Fellow Vanuatu United star Raymond Diho started in Peninsula Power FC's 4-1 loss to Lions in the NPL Queensland qualifying final.
They will have a second chance to make the grand final when they take on Moreton City later this week.
2026 Golden Boot winner Alex Saniel scored the only goal as Caroline Springs George Cross FC beat South Melbourne FC 1-0 in their NPL clash.
Azariah Soromon's Western Strikers advanced in the South Australia State League 2 promotion playoffs - beating Salisbury International 3-6 on aggregate over the two legs.
They will now face Elizabeth Downs Soccer Club in the next round.
Domestic comforts
PNG Hekari FC staged a stunning comeback in their Round 21 fixture of the PNG Premier Soccer League.
Trailing 2-0 at half-time to Lae City Dwellers, they scored three times in the second period to secure a priceless 3-2 win. Godfrey Haro, Tommy Semmy and Daniel Joe with the goals.
There will be a new man in the dugout for PNG Hekari FC's next Pro League campaign, with Matt Badiee confirmed as their new Head Coach.
Christchurch United registered a 2-0 victory over Northern AFC in their final league match of the season.
Pro League stars Callum Kennett, Oli Van Rijssel, Lewis Partridge, Josh Rogerson, Charlie Beale, Rovu Boyers and Riley Grover all saw action, with Beale getting himself on the scoresheet.
