South Island United midfielder Rovu Boyers has joined Christchurch United on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Solomon Islands international, who scored the OFC Pro League's first-ever hat-trick, was a influential figure for the New Zealand side last season, scoring six in total as South Island United made it to the semi-finals.

Now with preparations underway ahead of the 2027 season for Rob Sherman's side, the move allows Boyers the chance of regular first team football before returning to South Island United in time for next year's campaign.
