OFC Pro League finalists South Melbourne FC have confirmed that Sinisa Cohadzic has returned to the club as Head Coach, just days after announcing his departure.
"While the decision to part ways with Cohadzic last week came as a surprise to some, it created an opportunity for both parties to openly address and resolve a number of important matters," read a club statement released on Wednesday morning.
Cohadzic has contributed significantly to Hellas' success over the years - as both Head Coach and Technical Director - including leading his side to the Australian Championship and Dockerty Cup in 2025 as the former.
South Melbourne FC were impressive in the inaugural season of the OFC Pro League, with Cohadzic's side standing out as the best attacking team in the competition, scoring a league-high 55 goals across their 19 fixtures.
They also recorded the league's biggest winning margin, with a dominant 8-1 victory over Tahiti United in their rescheduled Round 3 match in Fiji, in April.
With his position now clarified, Cohadzic can look forward to preparing his side for their second OFC Pro League campaign in early 2027.
